Germany Day 6

Friday 2nd August - Day 6

Fridays activities included a morning dragon boat racing  and a visit to a local project which works with young people campaigning against homophobia .

Dragon boating was a great team building exercise and ensured we had to work together, listening and supporting each other they were 10 people in each boat, and 1 person was chosen to be the drummer, they had to sit high up in a seat at the front of the boat and we had to work hard as a team to row the boat to the Beat the drum made, it was so much fun  but also a little scary being in the drummers seat!

After a fun morning at Dragon boat racing we attended a meeting with another organisation who spoke to us about the work they did to tackle homophobia in Germany, we reflected upon what is done in Manchester and were proud to share our experiences and views, telling our friends how much we feel Manchester celebrates diversity.

In the evening we decided as a group to use our free time to swim at the river again, the nights are warm and lots of the German young people hang out there so it's a great place to be.
